The 22nd October 2010 the G-Shock East Store hosted another of its G-Shock Sessions in its Brick Lane store. Described as a highlight between Fashion and Music, Fumin was down there to perform tracks from his current Mixtape 'Mood Swings'. Check out the video below.
Back in 2004 grime MC Fumin was on the brink of success. After featuring on Lethal B's top ten hit POW he received airplay from some of the biggest DJs around including Tim Westwood and Ras Kwame. But his success was short-lived after falling out with his one-time partner in grime. Fast forward a few years and Fumin's back on the scene – and this time his not going anywhere.

How could you possibly find the right words to sum up the opening night of Re:Definition? A collaboration of exciting, unquestionable talent originating from London would be true, but also much too brief! Its creators, Urban Development managed once again, to put an incredible show, portraying urban music in a new light. Artists joined forces to 'Welcome us to London' providing an amazing soundtrack to the city and its urban culture along the way.
Newcomer Maxsta was star in his own right, the Newham emcee dubbed the 'new skool Dizzee Rascal' added another highlight the show when Ghetts, Griminal and Fumin joined him on stage to remind everyone that 'East London is Back'. However the real shocker was Fumin, (who some will remember his from his appearance in Lethal B's 'Pow Riddim'), he is truly back on radar and ready to leave his stamp on the commercial scene this time around.
Re:Definition was definitely a night to be remembered, an abundance of talent, and yet again urban music redefined.

I had the privilege of catching up with one of the UK Grime scene's rising stars, Fumin. Although he is by no means an amateur. You may recognise him from his famous feature on Leathal Bizzle's POW (Forward Riddim) however on the underground scene Fumin's success has amplified continuously, earning the respect of many Grime pioneers and attaining a vast acknowledgement from established corporations; BBC radio 1, 1xtra and Kiss100... not to mention key pirate radio stations- ultimately pitching Fumin as a well respected player in the game. Currently set to drop his next mix tape 'Mood swings' vol.1, Fumin generously took some time out to answer a few questions for me following meeting at the Urban Development event in Stratford, where he consistently delivered unique and fascinating live performances. This alongside witty rhymes, makes Fumin one to watch.
