Biography

24 year-old Tony Skerritt (aka Fumin) hails from the Borough of Newham in East London. Fumin started creating a buzz on pirate radio stations such as, Deja Vu and Flava FM in his early teens. His legendary appearances and freestyles on radio and live shows with the likes of Wiley, Dizzee Rascal and Tinchy Stryder led to his notoriety in the UK underground scene as a fierce spitter and the respect of his peers. Dizzee named him as the MC to watch in Rewind magazine and subsequently Mike Skinner (The Streets) name checked Fumin as one of his favourite MC's; an accolade that led him to contributed production and feature on Fumin's long awaited debut album.

Fumin is best known as a founding member of Fire Camp and for his appearance on Lethal B "Forward Riddim" (Pow) which entered the UK National Charts Top 10, winning him a "Mobo Award" for 'Best Single of the year & also Sidewinder 'best newcomer' award nominee.

His last mixtape ''The Official Paid in Full" Vol.1 featuring Jammer and Ice-kid received heavy rotation on the club scene and airplay on grime shows including DJ Logan Sama (Kiss 100); Tim Westwood (Radio 1); Ras Kwame (1Xtra) and DJ Limelight (BBC Asian Network); all of this increasing his burgeoning underground profile and exposure in UK Grime.

Having released his current mixtape titled 'Mood Swings.' The 14 track listing features top charting artists such as Wiley, Tinie Tempah, Maxsta whilst enlisting the production skills of Funky House producers Crazy Cousinz, Bless Beats, DialTone, American producers Maybach Music (Rick Ross camp) and new French producer Neeko. Mood Swings has a diverse collection of songs to appeal to the 'man dem', the ladies, club bangers and of course MOODS!

Back with his cheeky and quirky personality, Fumin is focused and ready to dive into the mainstream UK music scene. His debut album "Year 7" will see the versatile MC exploring new depths of music whilst experimenting with different rhythms and beats. Packed with an array of new material, the album features an exclusive collaboration with Mike Skinner and Grime Star Ghetts.

Recently advertised on Mixtape Madness as the 'Mixtape of the Day' and One To Look Out for, Fumin has also been gathering momentum on the scene with performances at weekly hotspot 'The Sunday Show,' Flavour Magazine's Monthly event 'Flavour Live' and Urban Development's, 'Re:Definition'- a production which fused performance and multimedia in a breath-taking live concept album which also featured fellow East Londoner's Ghetts, Maxsta and Devlin.

On this journey, Fumin has learnt to evolve through his talent, fight his past and flourish his talent onto the mic. Nothing can stop him now and he is willing to assure the masses that in his process to create his 1st album, you'll be in for a shock from the Fumin meister.
